Shoulder Dislocation

In a dislocated shoulder, the head of the upper arm pops out of the socket, which can cause injuries to the joint capsule, bone, and lead to long-term instability.

If conservative therapies do not provide sufficient stabilization, arthroscopic surgery may be necessary to stabilize the joint and prevent further dislocations.

If there is a bony injury at the rim of the socket, the Latarjet procedure may be considered to secure the shoulder permanently.
